Shift Kit-the ultimate in shifting technology
MADE IN THE USA
$40 ADDITIONAL - UHD FREEWHEEL SHIFTER KIT!!!! EXACTLY THE SAME AS OUR HD SHIFTER KIT, BUT WITH UHD FREEWHEEL, A $119 ITEM. .TO ORDER SELECT THE ULTRA HD Freewheel OPTION BELOW. PLEASE NOTE TO ORDER THE UHD KIT = SELECT THE OPTION BELOW.
This HD Shift Kit will fit almost any Chinese 2 Stroke and allow the user to shift gears using the bike's standard rear derailleur. This and our Standard kit are what you see in the YouTube videos. Take a look at the parts list in our installation manual to see what we supply in the standard kit.
The difference between HD and standard kit: HD kit comes with our specially designed Heavy Duty Freewheel for those more aggressive riders and engines with compression mods.
The HD Shift kit also now comes standard with the complete 131.5mm Bottom Bracket Cartridge
Note that this kit comes with typical mountain bike style crank arms and requires 9/16" pedals. If you have a one piece crank you will most likely need to purchase new pedals.
Here are links to additional information, read carefully before purchasing:
SBP also suggests a chain breaker, cartridge bottom bracket tool and crank tool to install this kit.
Do not forget to measure your seat tube and select the appropriate size.
NOTE: If you are attempting to use this kit on a "FAT TIRE" bike please contact us directly. This kit is based on it being installed onto a "standard" bicycle. Fat Tire bikes may have special needs.
PLEASE CONSIDER THE SBP EXPANSION CHAMBER AND OTHER PERFORMANCE ACCESSORIES WITH YOUR SHIFTER KIT

This kit is a must for anyone that rides on a regular basis. You can climb any hill and still hit the higher speeds. Saves the motor from being wound out all the time. It is worth every penny

Just got the hd shift kit and spent the day installing it, not an easy project, but a good project. Spent extra time making sure everything was perfect while doing it, and it operated perfectly the first time out. Had to fabricate my own spacer block to get a proper fit on left-side chain(one in the kit too big for my motor) ,but that was it. Very pleased that it works and shifts flawlessly. Thanks you guys.

A few things you should know before buying this kit:
1) You may need to make a trip or two to the bike shop.
2) Beach cruiser frames are harder and may require more work.
3) This is by far the best thing I have ever put on any of my bikes! You will never regret this purchase.

Bought this shift kit and put it on my 7 speed mountain bike.
it is the greatest upgrade ive installed. nothing can beat the fun of shifting through the gears, gives you the real racer feel. and best of all you dont have to settle with only acceleration or only top speed. all i have to do it kick off the ground and the engine is capable of accelerating in 1st gear without bogging out. so far with my stock engine i hit 38mph flat ground.which is pretty fast for these things.the only way your hitting those speed stock is with a 32 tooth sprocket. anyone who says other wise about going above 33mph with a 44t sprocket is lying. check your calibration and go try again. i can go 0-20 in about 5 or 6 seconds. it is expensive but once you try it out youll understand why.
planning on getting slick tires and the expansion chamber soon.
BUY THIS SHIFT KIT!
youll have so much more fun and enjoyment when riding.

I like the new mounts that bolt around the seat tube rather than bolt to the engine sidecases.Much easier to install and cleaner lokking as well. The chain between the jackshaft and crank freewheel stretches very quickly. When you replace the chain invest in the best one you can buy(I am pleased with my Izumi BMX track chain,$55 but worth the money). If you are running a pull start,a spring tensioner will reduce the time you spend raising the motor to tighten the chain.I like the tensioner that is incorporated into the new style mounts, but it is still a pain to constanstly have to loosen the engine and raise it up to adjust the chain tension. The KMC X8 chain that SBP sells works good for your derailleur chain.I am using my shift kit with a Nuvinci N360 hub transmission. It is much smoother than using the bicycles gear cassette. The nuvinci eliminates the banging and jumping shifts that you sometimes get with the bikes gear setup.By reducing the shock loads of harsh shifting you greatly reduce the wear on your drivetrain(chain,sprockets,freewheel,etc.).This shifter kit is a very wise investment for your MB project.

i am very impressed with this product. i ride 17 miles to work in Los Angeles at least 4 days a week and only buy about 2 gallons of gas because of this product and it's ability to allow a 200 lb man on a bicycle to climb hills at close to 20mph. i have officially gone 45 mph on this bike now and could not imagine doing that on one of my buddy's single gear china girl board trackers. i have registered it as a moped and plan on buying a second shift kit to build a full suspension cruiser. every forum i am on has proof of this amazing products ability to out perform any other similar product available today. i have even rattled 10-20 different parts lose riding this thing, not one of them related to the shift kit (mostly gas tank screws and fenders until i found some loctite). the few places around here that carry gas bike stuff get a serious ear-full when i hear they don't carry these in store. the store owners don't like the look on the customers face when i start recommending they look this site up asap. at least once a day a complete strangers stops me and has me explain what the shift kit is which lights up their faces at the thought of it working the way it does. i could go on for days about this, it has changed my views of city travel and made my commutes the 45 minutes i enjoy most about my day. i even ride it all day on my days off. amazing and well worth the money!

I own a Motorized Bicycle Shop, and thought I could BETTER the instructions Jim, and Pablo gave me. However I found everything I thought I could do BETTER, DID NOT!!!!!! work out, I had to follow the instructions to the letter. This is the MOST fantastic shifter I have EVER used, and I have used a lot!!!!!

The shift kit is the best mod you can do to the bike. The wide range of gears keeps the little engine in a happy RPM range at all times. The regular one speed sprocket is either lugging off the line, or screaming at the top. This kit overcomes all of that, and I am sure engine life will be enhanced. It is all quality parts, and excellent support from the SBP. Stop reading this, and go buy one! I use mine like a 4 speed, basically shift 1-3-5-7, and use 8 as an overdrive. So far I have hit 46 MPH with some left to go!
